Here’s the story from our ultrasound on 6/2.

We waited and waited for what seemed like forever in the waiting room and finally got called back. The ultrasound tech was excited to get to tell us what our baby was. I think the first words to come out of her mouth once looking at the baby were, “Wow, look at those long legs.” Haha…like mother like daughter. Anyway…she made us wait a little while before she even said anything about the sex. She measured the head and the belly…which both read that the baby is about 16 weeks 4 days along…and then when she measured the legs guess how far along it said?? 17 weeks…Hahaha! I thought that was hilarious! Anyway, little Bethanie was being so modest and keeping her legs shut that the ultrasound lady couldn’t get a good shot for a while…she kept searching and searching and finally found the 3 lines…that means it’s a girl. Once she checked it all out for a little while she then said she was 99% sure that it was a girl. Bryan said, “Can we get a second opinion?” Haha…then she said… "well if I am wrong I will need to quit my job because I’ve been doing this for 28 years.” So, he had her keep searching for the little boy in there and she just couldn’t find it. By the end she had changed from being 99% sure to 99.9% sure. So, Bryan’s 1% turned to 0.1% very quickly. He kept saying he was bummed, but he really is excited. Just wait until little Bethanie Lynn is born…he will fall in love (especially if she looks like me!)
